About Us
Our Mission
We provide compassionate support and resources to grieving families, parents, or individuals by offering safe places to reflect on their loss, to renew their strength, and to restore their soul. This brief time of solace is meant to allow your thoughts and body to pause, so that you can do what’s best for your healing and journey in grief, in order that you can Keep Moving Forward.
Our Purpose
Providing a safe place is the key concept in establishing Keep Moving Forward. For those who have lost a loved one, it is common to need a short escape. They need a moment to pause and digest, to deal with their thoughts, feelings and emotions. We provide a place for them to do so.
Keep Moving Forward recognizes that a safe place, free of the distractions of daily life, as well as others expectations, can offer immense comfort. This safe place needs to be a peaceful setting so that those grieving can rest, reflect, process, and just be. It’s essential for those who have experienced loss to assess their situation, and begin to consider and plan what their life will look like after loss.
We recognize this looks different for every single person and is an extremely personal and sacred journey.
In grief, safety means giving space for the full range of emotions, and a flood of memories. It is accepting and receiving each unique experience of grief as a natural part of healing. When you are safe, you can begin to move in this new reality of loss, and learn to live with the changes that a loved one’s death has brought to your life. As you choose to Keep Moving Forward, you are embracing hope for today and hope for the future.
Keep Moving Forward will locate and coordinate with like-minded owners of retreats, homes, and relaxing escapes to provide safe, peaceful sanctuaries for our grieving guests, without them having to take on the financial or mental burdens of planning a trip. We will provide this time and space with the hope that it will help them on their journey of grief, allowing them to Keep Moving Forward, and renewing their hope for the future.
